Frog Bikes Cycling Accessories Review

The other day, we were sent some Frog Bikes Cycling Accessories for a review. Ethan was more than happy to give a review of this. He was ecstatic!

Frog Bikes Cycling Accessories Review

Ethan was a very keen biker from a very young age. He didn’t have a scooter like the other children have. A balance bike was what he received for his second birthday gift. It didn’t take long for this little guy zoom away so fast I was breathless chasing him. He then had a bigger balance bike. Then a normal bike with a stabilisers and eventually took them off in May this year. Whenever there were sunshine and dry sunny day outside he always insisted hopping on his bike. I don’t blame him, I wish I could too. But I had to push Evelyn in her buggy. I don’t trust myself on a bike with little one on the back seat.

So yes, Safety is key.

During the Summer holiday we’ve been practising our bike ride to his school. So that when the time come he would not be in panic rush about it. You can read all about it here: Our Summer Cycling Forest Adventure. I have to say, this method has worked up to a certain extend. I noticed that on our way back home he would be a little tired and a little tantrum would occurred. My worst fear is that he would slipped himself onto the road by accident and would not be seem by passing vehicles. I showed him our little sort-cut routes to avoid big traffic and to always look left and right, and double check again for the traffic before he crosses the road with me. Road safety rules are so important. Frog Bikes have an extensive range of cycling accessories to give parents a little peace of mind by offering safety gears that is cool and funky for the kids to wear. I received a Team Sky Rucksack (£28), Team Sky Rucksack Cover (£16), and a Mini Hornit (£20 £15). This may be a bit much, but wait for it.

Team Sky Rucksack

The rucksacks has many compartments to it: a waterproof bag insert inside so that your kid can keep dirty things in such as the PE Kit for example. A small zipper pocket at the back for hiding anything valuable such as money, jewellery, and mobile phone (not that Ethan needs any of these right now of-course). But the rucksack is well made to a high quality. I could see that this will last him for years. At this point, I could see Ethan is inspecting the bag thoroughly imagining his things inside the bag already.

Team Sky Rucksack Cover

On top of this is the waterproof rucksack cover, (not pun intended). By chance the other day, there was a down pour of torrential rain. I can say that the cover works well. It kept the rucksack bone dry underneath. It was great as I won’t have to worry about his homework getting wet. Plus the rucksack come with flashing lights. It lit up Ethan’s eyes and he wanted to have a go at switching them on and off and to different rhythms. This is ideal in keeping him safe and been visible when it get dark outside.

Mini Hornit

is such a cool invention. The head light changes colour from white to green and flashes in a variety of rhythm. Ethan also loves playing around with the different sounds it makes, (25 in fact!). You can adjust the noise level, but I rather have it loud so that he can definitely be heard from afar when out cycling.

Ethan could not wait to get to school and show it off to all his new friends. There my other worry of him not making friends at school is no more.

I would highly recommend Frog Bikes’ range of accessories to keep your little ones safe when they are both cycling and scooting to be seen and to be heard.

It is also good to know that Frog Bikes was a Finalist in the National Business Awards as New Business of the Year in UK (2013, 2014). A brand you can trust. Take a look at their website, they have some lovely lightweight frames bikes and other accessories too.

*These items were sent to me for a fair and honest review. All words, opinions, photos, and video are of my own.*

These rucksacks look fab, love that they have a separate compartment to keep dirty/wet things in and the cover is a great idea! I know when I’m out in the rain carrying the changing bag everything inside gets soaked! Love the little horn too, not so sure I could cope with the loudness, but you’re right about them needing to be heard.
Thanks so much to linking this up to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x

The rucksacks and the waterproof cover look great. Safety is so important so it’s good that children will actually like the products. #FabFridayPost

    1. I can’t say any bad things about the products at all, as it was just what we needed and that Ethan loves it too. 🙂

  9. These look fab. Piglet is a bit young for them at the moment though so we’ll have to wait a bit!

    1. I would highly recommend Frog Bikes, 🙂 Thank you for popping by. x

  10. It’s so important to be safe when riding bikes! I see too many children riding helmet-less. My mum came off when she was small (she flew over the handle bars on a hill) and her helmet saved her life. I’m glad you’re raising awareness of this with your two posts of Frog Bikes. The lights and sounds are so cool. I bet Ethan is popular in the playground now! 😀 Thank you so much for linking up to #whatevertheweather x

    1. Oh my goodness! That must have been terrifying for her. Thank goodness she is alright. You can never be too careful. Ethan is always out-of-control when he is going down hill. He actually fallen off once and I told him that his helmet saved his head. He stills cries for the other scratches on his legs though. I think he has learnt his lesson well. Oh! yes! Everyone wants to ride their bike to school now. Some doesn’t even know how-to yet, but when they saw Ethan they were begging their parents to get one. lol! So funny! Thank you for hosting. x

  12. These look fantastic. I love the flashing light especially – this would be a massive hit with my little one. All things waterproof are also a winner in our house!

    1. Oh yes! These are a hit. Ethan really doesn’t like to carry things on his back but with this bag he always say “I need to wear it. It is for safety.” It is great that these gadgets actually do make him learn the importance of safety. 🙂

  13. What cool products!! Thanks for sharing in #KidsCorner x

    1. Thanks for hosting! 🙂 x

  14. I love that Ethan is learning to bike, safely has to come first, you are doing a great job! He is learning to be a bit independent but knows that Mom is right there! Fantastic! Hope to see you at #WAYWOW this week!

  15. We reviewed the same things recently 🙂 the horn is something else isn’t it?! Very loud and a brilliant range of different noises.

    1. I noticed that too. It is great isn’t it 🙂 Thanks for hosting. x

  16. […] Ethan also got to ride his new Frog Bike which he received from Santa for the first time. Of-course it has to be in the muddy field – […]

  17. Excellent kids biking. I am pretty much of your excellent work. If you can do train up your kids from childhood they would be a great cyclist in future time. So we should properly take care of our little kids and train them how to maintain & ride cycling.
