Day 3 – It’s Easter Sunday & it’s my Birthday!
Yep, the big 40 has hit me right in the head by two monsters of mine! OMG! Where has the time gone? I feel sad but happy at the same time. I don’t know why. I think I need to go into deeper than this on another post, but at that particular morning E&E just can’t stay away from my bed. Help! lol!
Today, as my birthday’s gift, Sue bought us a family ticket to an Easter Event at Eastnor Castle (which I will write about in separate post), but before we set off she’d gotten the kids and her neighbour’s next door kids to come round and did a little Easter Eggs Hunting of our own.
We started off looking for the eggs in Sue’s garden. It was so exciting for both us and the kids! Evelyn’s expression when finding the eggs is just priceless! It was so adorable!
Then we moved on into her neighbour’s garden. Unfortunately, Evelyn tripped over and I thought she was going to cry! But instead, she was worried stiff the eggs being broken! “Oh! My Eggs!” She cried! Bless her.
E&E also found some small packs of Smarties hiding in the neighbour’s garden too! They said that these Smarties packs were left behind from their little boy’s birthday treasure hunt a couple of weeks ago. Trust my E&E to find them! Haha
At the end, we gathered up all the eggs and split them up equally. There were a lot of eggs! Then unbeknown to me, Sue asked the children to sing me the renowned “Happy Birthday!” song! It was so cute and very sweet of them, and at the same time I felt a little embarrassed as I was being reminded that I am officially OLD!! Nope, sorry I don’t have a footage of this. 😉
After Eastnor Castle event, we came back and I cooked a stir-fried rice with left over chicken from yesterday for everybody. And yes! It was a hit again! I’m so pleased that I have the chance to cook and shown off some of my cooking skills to Sue and Kenji. Even my O.H. thinks it was delicious too – no, he doesn’t always agrees with my cooking, but I’ll take it as a compliment anyway.
We sadly had to say our Good-bye to Blue-Ginger family the next day. The kids loves every moment at this home. We missed this place and E&E are already asking me when are we going back again. I don’t know yet…
I guess you’ll have to stay tuned!
