Picking Out The Perfect Shoes For Your Kid

It can leave mums shuddering when it’s time to go shoe shopping with their kids. After all, the last thing little ones want to do is try on shoes. And it can be a mission to find a pair which ticks all the right boxes. In fact, a lot of mums live with regret over the choice when they get home. Therefore, you need to think carefully before taking the shoes. In fact, here is some handy advice for picking out the perfect shoes for your kid.

You want a pair which is easy to put on.

It’s so important that you pick out shoes for your kid which is easy to put on. While they might look great with their cute laces, practically it could be a nightmare. After all, you might have to lace them up every time for your little one before leaving home. Therefore, opt for easy to fit straps that you can do in a few seconds. Or even slip-on shoes which are much easier for your kid to put on before you leave the house. That way, your little one might even be able to do it themselves without any worries. And you won’t have any dramas when you are trying to get them ready to go out every day!

You should pick out shoes in a fun design.

A lot of kids play up when it comes to shoes. And one of the reasons is down to them not liking the design. After all, if they are a boring pair, it’s not going to encourage them to try them on. In fact, it’s more likely to do the opposite by making them throw a tantrum when it’s time to fit the shoes. Therefore, you should make sure you opt for a fun design, so the shoes are perfect for your little one. It might be that they have some form of character as part of the design. For example, you can get Disney Vans for kids that they might love. And you can even lower the price if you get some Vans coupons. Or you could even go for some trainers which light up as your kid walks. They are bound to make them giggle, and they will love wearing them.

Choose a pair which is comfortable to wear.

You don’t want to pick a pair of shoes which causes your kid discomfort. Otherwise, they are going to complain every time they wear the shoes. And they won’t be able to walk very far if the shoes are rubbing on their feet. In fact, they might end up with blisters when you are out and about. And then you will have to deal with their poorly tootsies when they get home. Therefore, make sure you go for the right size which will keep your little one’s feet comfortable. In fact, you might want to go to a proper shoe shop who will measure your child’s feet, so they end up with the right sized shoes. This can be essential when it’s time to get them shoes for school!

I am not one who enjoys shoe shopping in any form. Luckily my kids are old enough now to really tell us how the shoes feel, and whether or not they like them!

Shoe shopping is the worst!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Tubblet’s likes aren’t necessarily the same as the school’s, what is comfortable or affordable.

This is really helpful, I’m going shoe shopping for the first time with my little one. I was going for style but you’re right it should definitely be more about comfort. Thanks so much for sharing with #GlobalBlogging!
