The Color Obstacle Rush – Doing It For The Kids!

The Color Obstacle Rush - This Saturday!

This Saturday,…

I will be running my freaking backside off for my son’s school.

As you know, the Government’s cut is affecting everybody and we want to help. I have teamed up with a group of Supermums at Ethan’s school. We will be embarking the Color Obstacle Rush, Milton Keynes!

Trespass Sportswear Review

We will try to raise £100 to help our kids school funding. Anything beyond would be absolutely awesome!

From the School newsletter…

The Government is continuing to cut funding to mainstream schools, nationwide. Our school will be affected, detrimentally, by this significant decrease in funding. The financial year has begun and the budget has been set, but inly with reductions to provision. These will include: no replacement for TAs who will be leaving the school, for maternity or otherwise; software subscriptions cut; a reduction to curriculum spending; fewer visits from specialist subject teachers (Spanish & Music); roof work and outside classroom projects postponed. Also school trips will not go ahead unless the school receives sufficient parental contributions to make them viable…

We call upon the support of our entire parent community at this time and we are grateful, to you, for it.

So please dig deep and give us to your support at Justgiving fundraising page here.

Hopefully, I will survive! Ekkk!

Thank you so much everyone!

good luck with the fundraising, i do think schools shouldn’t send out emails like this to parents, as it can put a lot of pressure on those who can’t afford to give their time or finances, but it’s nothing new, we were always fundraising for our kids schools and our youngest is now 18

Yes, it could have been handled a little more care. Though I do think we have the right to know what is going on with the school budget. Everything is so even more tight now…

I hope your run went well! Funding cuts are terrible – how did you do with fundraising? I hope you can continue to support the school to the best of your ability. Good luck and I hope you had fun!

Don’t even get me started on all this school funding cuts because I could go on for hours. It’s absolutely ridiculous but good on you for trying to do something about it! My children won’t be going to school as I will be homeschooling for many reasons. #fabfridaypost

Awesome that you are doing something so good to help. It’s just awful that these cuts are being made, when education is the most important thing in this country for our children. My son is SEN so has a TA with him most of the day and without these brilliant people, he couldn’t be supported in accessing the curriculum in the way that he has been. It’s appalling that the government think this is a good way to make financial cuts. Well done you! #fabfridaypost
