It is so lovely to be recognised and nominated to do this kind of things. I have to say I have been nominated several times last year and by pure laziness I have been avoiding it. So I would like to apologise everyone that have nominated me in the past and i have not responded to.
However, it all started with Lisa Pomerantzster, who nominated me for Versatile Blogger Award back in January. The following week I was then nominated by Elena from Spanish Mummy for Sisterhood of the World Bloggers tag. And now, I have been nominated by my lovely #FabFridayPost co-host linky Briann from Bumbi’s Mom. How lovely! I am very honoured. I guess… it does become like an addiction! 😉

How it all started
As mentioned in my Sisterhood of the World Bloggers tag…
I have been meaning and wanting to blog for a while now as I have read so many wonderful stories out there that inspires me to wanting to write my own experiences too.
In 2014, I felt the hardship when we moved out of London. The move, finding the balance of an extrovert and an introvert toddler plus a newborn can be just a little too overwhelming to cope with at times. I had no one to talk to. Making new friends was hard for both myself and Ethan. We both missed our London friends immensely. Blogging was my way of an outlet. I want my Blog to be a platform of connection in all aspects of our lives to remind ourselves that we still and always have each other no matter what, whilst we are all learning to stride to settle in our new beginnings.
My tips for new bloggers
I have to say… I am rather a newbie myself compared to such pro-bloggers out there. I am still learning as I go along.
Briann has boiled it down to 3 sentences that I think it is spot on and I think everyone can learn from her blog too.
- Get engaged. Connect with other bloggers by reading, commenting and responding.
- Support new bloggers and learn from established bloggers.
- Be honest. Write what you know, what you feel, and what makes you happy.
I do have one thing to add – I guess is to get creative – not just in writing but in whatever you do that you think would benefits your blog that you enjoy doing such as; photography, sharing reviews, sharing your best recipes, sharing your crafts activity with your kids; to co-hosting linkys, hashtags, etc… and keep at it – even when it means producing one post a week – then let it be one post a week. It does get easier and you’ll find the swing of it pretty soon.
