Now then… where has the sunshine gone? A fortnight ago the sky was brightly lit with sunshine upon us – but for the pass week there was nothing but rain, rain and more rain. Sigh… To brighten the day up I have revisited our day at this year Walsworth Common Festival 2016. Let’s just say – it was a great family day out, plus it was only a stone throw away from us.
This is an annual festival for the people of Walsworth and near by. We initially went there because Ethan school has a tombolla stall to raise funds for the school, and we want to show them our support. That was the first stall we visited. Both Ethan and Evelyn had a go – but both came back empty handed. But hey – what is the best way to cheer them up – ice cream of course!
Ethan has a go at archery. It was his first time and he really enjoyed it. I must say he was not bad at all. It was also great to see some Daddy and son bounding time. Evelyn of-course wanted to have a go too… but she was a little too young unfortunately. Daddy of course also had a go too. The kids were shouting out “GO DADDY! YOU CAN DO IT!”. They were so cute!
Ethan had a go on this drop the ball into the milk bottle – but was unsuccessful unfortunately.
It was time for some funfair rides fun. Evelyn really love her freedom on this pink pirate ship. I asked Ethan if he wanted to go on it too. He simply replied “No, it’s for babies”. Okay…
Instead he went on this bouncy bungee jumping thing… and he loved it.
His high energy did not stop there and he wanted to go on this 6 meters high bouncy slide! I think I even felt the loss of vertigo watching him climb! Kids – just have no sense of fear – do they.
Whilst Ethan was enjoying that Evelyn’s energy is also on the high at the small bouncy castle nearby. She was the only one there and she sure do know how to have a good time all by herself!
One last ride – the cup and saucers – boy oh boy, I am just too old for this. Feeling too dizzy is an understatement.
On our way out – we saw Danny the Fire Engine crew – Ethan and Evelyn both had a little sit down at the front. I showed Ethan how to make Peace sign with two figures – Evelyn did not quite got there yet so we settle for a wave Goodbye instead.
The day certainly ended with great memories. The entrance was free, but the rides and food were not. There were many information stalls there which serves very little interests for the little ones, but it was still a great fun day out none-the-less.
