#PointShoot: Children of Sri Lanka

#PointShoot: Sri Lanka Smiles

Facebook has prompted me of a Charity Cycle Challenge that I took part for International Childcare Trust in 2005. I know this is like more than ten years ago, but I still have very fresh and fond memories from it. This photo was taken at the hill top of a tea plantation. The rain was absolutely tipping it down and these children were the daughters and son of the tea picker ladies – two of them were walking without any shoes.

This is one of the photographs I took during my cycle challenge. The quality aren’t that great as I have lost the originals and I have just merely copy and paste the photos from Facebook and here they are above.

There are so many more beautiful photographs taken on the day, so do stay tuned on my Instagram and Facebook to see more!

Also please feel free to join our#ExplorerKid IG Community which I co-host with Sarah, Kippers and Curtains.

Thank you for sharing this photo at #pointshoot I find it really interesting having an insight into another country. It’s saddening to see how poor the children are that some have no shoes.
