Outdoor Games Fun with Mountain Warehouse

Outdoor Games Fun with Mountain Warehouse

It’s been exactly a month since we’ve been to the Big Family Festivals. Our first family camping trip ever – in the rain! But when the sun is out we took full advantage of the short sunshine slot.

We took some outdoor games from Mountain Warehouse for some family fun.

Let me introduce you to…

1) Catch Ball

– Was £7.99 Save 50% Now £3.99

This game is for 2 players, so this was perfect for E&E to play with each other. They loves playing catch. It is durable and lightweight  ideal to play on the beach or in the garden, as we did at the campsite.

It contains two discs in neon colours, and a matching ball.

At the back of the dish, you have an adjustable velcro fastening for a good grip. Since Evelyn has small hands, she did find it a little difficult to hold. Ethan on the other hand (no pun intended) – it fits him like a glove!

They were fascinated by the ball when they caught it and it sticks to the catcher.

This was a fun way to spend our afternoon at the campsite.

2) Flying Missile Toy

This is so popular that this is now out of stock on Mountain Warehouse website!

This Aerodynamic flying football! Designed for maximum aerodynamic balance and spiral rotation, the missile can be thrown with pinpoint accuracy. Made to with stand rugged outdoor play – yet soft enough for easy catches. It features an easy to throw design and the finger grip zones and tail fin help it spin faster for tighter spirals and greater distance.

Both E&E has great fun with these. Even though they need to work on the throwing and catching a bit more! lol!

What do you think of these two little outdoor games? Catch Ball is now under £4! I don’t think you can go wrong with this!

What other outdoor games do you recommend taking a camping trip? Do let know below your comments.

Our youngest has just taken to playing with a football for the first time. The catch ball might be a safer option (indoors)! For a camping trip they love swingball, we have a set that packs pretty small and was very cheap from Home Bargains.

Swing ball is fantastic, such a fun game. I’m really glad you enjoyed the post.

Those sound like fun toys! Anything to get outside and enjoy the end of the nice weather is great right now!

Thank you, it’s completely great to get out and enjoy the good weather before it disappears.

My youngest son asked for a catch ball set for Christmas last year. He just loves that it makes it so much easier to play catch.

    • 11/09/2017 / 11:18 am

It is pretty cool isn’t it. My kids love it but they so need practicing! lol! x

We have the ball with the velcro “mitts” – my youngest found it hard to figure out at first as well. Now that she’s a bit bigger maybe we’ll try again. My kids suck at playing catch! 😉

I remember my son having one of those Catch Ball’s when he was younger and he absolutely loved it. I’ll have to invest in another one for my daughter, she’ll have great fun with it.

Sorry, wrong hashtag. Thought I’d stopped it going through and commented again below then saw it was here, oops x

I love those, so simple but they are so fun too! I have a feeling that if we had the missile though it would definitely end up a chew toy for nextdoors dog haha #fabfridaypost

    • 11/09/2017 / 11:37 am

I know! It’s cool isn’t it. Haha that’s they thing about having a dog that loves catch ball / missile too! lol! x

    • 11/09/2017 / 11:41 am

Oh no! The kids must be so upset. 🙁 I know! The price is just the big tick for me. It is so worth it. I want Summer back too. 🙂 x

I love these outdoor toys, fun and lightweight so easy to transport. They also help in developing key throwing and catching skills (even if you think your kids need a little more practice!). I love the shot of Evelyn with the ball flying towards her!

    • 17/09/2017 / 12:48 am

Yes! That’s right. She is getting better and better… sloowly but surely. Thank you Carol for your lovely comments. I love that photo too. 🙂

  13. 20/09/2017 / 10:31 am

Anything that encourages the kids to get outside and play is a winner!

  14. 22/09/2017 / 2:07 am

I was just showing my little how cool the catchy-disk was and how easy it was for her to catch! xoxo FUN, fun, fun! Next up, the frisbee! #fabFridaypost
