On Sunday 7th May, we set off early in the morning to the National Pet Show at Excel, London.
We were invited by Tetra to come by and pop round to see them when we had a moment or two.
Anyhow, back to the National Pet Show – as you can probably tell we have very highly charged energised children ready to roar their way in to meet all the animals they could find in one afternoon.
The first thing we saw as we entered were the creepy crawlers animals. Well – it may not be so creepy to you, but for me – Noooo! Luckily they were in their cases – so there was no need to raise the panic alarm.
It was a very busy show, we slowly slid our way through to the Dog Show area. It was indeed – a man’s best friend. We got to pet the dog up-close and personal. We also got to see a few dog shows too.
Tetra Arena wasn’t too hard to find. They had occupied a massive space of the arena, and it was very busy! There were…
- Tetra Store & Information Exhibition Area
- Tetra Kids Zone – full of art and crafts activities, and colouring books, face paint and more!
- 2 x Tetra Teepee Fin Tent – Story Tales of the Aquarium & A Chicken Patch! Yes! I repeat a chicken patch! It was free to walk about freely, and it loves to be stroke. E&E love stroking them. Perhaps, when we get a bigger house I will be in search for one of these chicks. They are very therapeutic.
Ethan really enjoyed excising his colouring skills whilst we were waiting in an never ending queue for a face paint, which had paid off handsomely. Surprise, surprise Evelyn has a butterfly. Ethan went for something a little different this time other than dinosaur – he went for a snake!
I also talked to one of the Tetra Expert and raised my concern of my algae growing in my fish tank and that my fish was starting to loss their tails!
Our Tetra Expert have the following advice…
- Have our tank away from direct sunlight, as algae thrives on them.
- Check your water to be PH save for fish regularly – using Tetra water testing kit.
- Use Tetra AlugMin
- Use Tetra EasyBalance Solutions
If you have the same problem as your aquarium then follow these instructions you should get my fish back to healthy form in no time.
Before we head home, Evelyn wanted a pet balloon and so I went in search for an elephant for her. She was so thrilled, until it bursted within 15 minutes of the purchase due to heavy handling…
But, Evelyn was quickly cheered up by the show’s paparazzi – who had taken tones of photos of her running around the giant “PETS”. She informed it will be on the show’s gallery online soon. Watch this space!
All-in-all, we had a fantastic day out. I never knew that Pet Show is such a popular show. E&E have thoroughly enjoyed themselves there.
Thank you Tetra for such lovely day out.
If you want to talk to Tetra anything relating to aquarium-wise then do check them out at Birmingham NEC on 4th – 5th Nov 2017. They are very friendly and doesn’t bite – I promised. x
Thank you for reading.
*We were given complimentary tickets by Tetra for the show in return for an honest review. All photos, words, and opinions are honest and of my own.
