2016 has been a year of travel for us…
Some intentionally and some were by chance. I started off the year receiving a year English Heritage Membership as a Christmas Gift from a good friend. I took no time at all to use this opportunity to explore places near us.
In late March, we went to Thailand to visit my sister who was terminally ill with lung cancer Stage 4. It was a good visit but we wish that she was strong enough to explore parts of Thailand with us as she is always the one who loves taking us everywhere every time I go back to Thailand. It was at this point #ExplorerKids was born. My sister has been the inspiration of this IG Community and teaming up with Sarah from Kipper and Curtain has made it even clearer for me that we should start this IG Community right away! Since it was the Easter break at the time, we decided to stayed on until towards the end of April. It was a great time catching up with my family and love ones.
For the first time ever, we have experience the Beautiful Bluebells fields and also celebrated Evelyn’s second birthday in Hitch Wood. It was just us. A low key walk but it was one of the most beautiful things we have ever experienced.
Throughout May right through to Summer, we experienced the wonders of our local Summer festivities as well as doing some boogying at a Children’s Disco hosted by DJ Monski Mouse in London. It was a lot of fun!
In Autumn, we were invited to review a pop-up Aquarium with Tetra in London which I went with my friend and thereafter we took the kids to visit the London Zoo just days before the Big Gorilla Escape made the news headline! (I still need to write about out visit yet!).
Going to The Family Travel Show in October has made me want to jump start 2017 travel plan already! There were a lot of things on offer!
November seeing me trying to find my blogging mojo back at #BlogFest16. It was an interesting trip and finally meeting up with some of my fellow blogger friends. What I found most useful from it was the Pinterest workshop.
I don’t think I have appreciated how much we done so much travelling until now. There are still so many trips I haven’t managed to getting round to writing it down. My sister passed away in June so a lot of my blog writing came to a halt of grief and sadness, and spending time with my family was far more important. My apology for this. I hope you can understand.
I really hope you like travelling with us last year as much as we like traveling with you on #ExplorerKids IG Community which today has hit more than 11.6K! If you are new to our blog then: “Hello! Please do join us on Instagram and be a part of our lovely #ExplorerKids IG Community too. I’d love to see what you’ve been up to”.
I don’t know what 2017 will bring, but I do hope they would be filled with wonders, interesting and fun things for us to keep exploring. Here’s to a great travel year for 2017!
Thank you so much everyone for reading my blog.
Lots of love,
